Coaching is a process that helps people define their dream, their goals, where they want to go. This is called a person's "vision". It can be as specific as writing a dissertation, or as general as achieving better health. As your coach, I will help you determine the goals to reach that vision. If barriers get in the way, I will help you find ways to remove the barriers, to mobilize you, so you can achieve your desired vision.
All of the great athletes have coaches, CEO's have executive coaches, Presidents have coaches (who are referred to as their Chief of Staff and advisors). Coaches are trained to hold your ultimate vision in the forefront, to keep you on track, to motivate you, and to give you honest and frank feedback.
Coaching can take place in person or over the phone, depending on your needs and preferences.
The coaching relationship is confidential; however coaching is not the same as therapy. Therapy is for emotional difficulties. Coaching is about the present and the future, and is for the person who is ready and able to meet their specific goals.
(Please note that coaching is not covered by insurance. It is not mental health treatment and is not a substitute for mental health treatment.)
